What certification testing does Anvil Welding Instruction offer?
Anvil offers testing for the most common industry processes:
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding, (SMAW) “Stick”
- Flux Core Arc Welding, (FCAW), “Dual Shield or Inner Shield”
- Gas Metal Arc Welding, (GMAW) “MIG”
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, (GTAW) “TIG”
What are the Enrollment requirements?
Students enrolling in the Welding Training Course(s) must be 17 year of age prior to starting training. Students without a high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate may be required to pass the Ability to Benefit Exam prior to enrolling in the Welding Training Courses. Students must have good eyesight, with or without corrective lenses.
Do I need a GED or High School Diploma to attend?
A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is preferred, but it is not required.
What type of certifications are there, and where are they recognized?
ANVIL WELDING INSTRUCTION offers testing for AWS, ASME, and WABO. The AWS and ASME testing is nationally recognized, and WABO is for Washington state only.
Do you accept FAFSA?
We do not accept FAFSA, which is a federal program. We do, however, accept most state funding including WorkSource, Labor & Industries, Department of Labor, or Vocational Rehabilitation for tuition assistance.
Do you offer financial aid?
ANVIL WELDING INSTRUCTION does not offer financial aid.
Depending on your circumstances, grant funding may be available through WorkSource or the Idaho Department of Labor.
Next Generation Zone may be able to assist you if you are a young adult.
